Pros

They care about their employees and do what they can to make you feel at home. A passion for design is a plus and they are all about their core values so get to know them. You must be innovative and think outside of the box to really thrive in the outlets. Must be able to get along with the team well. Loved my experience but was not my life purpose. I did gain a lot of personal growth from my experience there. Also pretty good pay for retail.

Cons

Very high expectations. Hard work and can be long hours.

Not what it used to be

Pros

Beautiful product all around you, being part of a luxury brand, excellent salary for retail, ability to recruit a talented team because of the pay rates.

Cons

Core values on paper are not practiced especially by field leaders and above. Values are used to manipulate situations. The culture could be, and was, very different at one time. Unprofessional and uneducated hiring decisions across the organization have led to a decline in people of high moral character. The expectation changes daily and is often explained after the fact. The high salaries cannot compensate for the emotional manipulation used to drive leaders.

Pros

Great butt kissers, Mensi member type leadership( sarcasm), people first approach only applies when needing donations for charity, will promote almost anyone

Cons

Core values are a joke. Leadership is a joke ( I'm in leadership, trust me). Always preaches change but keeps employees in same positions. Leads are basically mangers and mangers are glorified desk clerks who get paid well. The more butt you kiss the better you advance. No appreciation for job. Stupid meetings to sell more of the kook-aid they are making. Senior management thinks a free lunch is a way of saying good job, but really it's a way to tell you were going to screw you somehow. CEO is a giant douchbag. If you like being overworked and undervalued , well please join.

RH is toxic - Grand Prairie - run the other way!

Pros

The entry level people were excellent workers with a desire to do the best they could.

Cons

Unfair treatment of workers, discrimination, deliberate unjustifiable termination of associates, favoritism, NO advancement opportunity and it's a middle school environment at senior leader level. The Corta Madera leaders fuel fear, drama and an unhealthy work environment. As for their Resto Core Values and rules they are mere words on paper and not lived out! They love to say "Love us or leave us" if you voice any concern, bring any disparity to their attention. As for me.... I love my self enough to get the heck out of this toxic call center. By far the worst place I've ever worked for.

Pros

They actually mean what they say with their core values. It was a little cheesy at first, but we discussed them every morning during a meeting and management really worked to make the store work as a cohesive unit. Management also spent quality time with each individual on a regular basis to ensure they enjoyed what they were doing and could make recommendations on what to fix.

Cons

Customers, but that's retail for you.

Pros

Great co-workers & beautiful environment to work in.

Cons

Managers are superficial and are only concerned about sales quota. You can sell so much and will only get a hand clap in cv meetings - no commission! You are treated like a slave forced to clean the whole store top to bottom. Avoid at all cost!!!

Dismal in Dallas

Pros

WAS a great company to work with (for) Stability is fantastic - You don't have to worry about or plan for advancement Training doesn't take a lot out of you - it's enough to do the job but does nothing to help your chances to be promotable Training is also continuous - It's required because of the high turnover of associates Save a lot of time on problem issues - No need to waste time talking to upper management since they don't want to hear anything negative nor do they care Recent managements hires who hold a Williams-Sonoma card can be placed in positions far exceeding their ability with no Leadership, People or Communication skills required - This does not apply in any way to those hired before 2011 Work/Family Balance - This is fantastic as long as you understand its 90% work to 10% family Collateral Employment - keeps Doctors busy addressing the effects of stress, frustration & depression.

Cons

With so many "Pros" the "Cons" are difficult After several years employment, not one person in upper management asked or even cared about the "WHY" I was leaving. Money / profits are highly valued - People are expendable and can be treated that way With current upper Management, the building could have been designed much better, by installing a revolving door for Associates Leads and Area Managers Leadership is talked about but rarely exercised. Core values are always directed to the person you are talking to. Admitting that you'd willingly steal from your own company means nothing No advancement only lateral moves. Broken every single one of the "21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" - Ignorance of those laws is no excuse

Pros

RH's core values of Quality, Service, People, and Innovation is well noticed in the work environment. One value that stands out is quality. Working along side my co-workers, I observed their strive for perfection whether it be as simple as making copies to designing the products. So far, management have encouraged feedback and valued opinions. The culture definitely avoids the cubical lifestyle and promotes self growth. Positives: People Core Values Work Environment Generous Discounts

Cons

There are moments when production and projects are slow but when they're not, be expected to work hard and at times, long hours. RH is a fast pace environment and at times can be challenging. The benefits and pay are improving but not quite on par with some other companies. Negatives: Long Work Hours Improve on Pay / Benefits Limited Remote Work

Pros

Very easy to get the job, keeping it is another story if you have a problem with being on time. Guaranteed 40 hrs week (suggest you have direct deposit because sometimes will not have your checks ready). Medical benefits and days off are decent.

Cons

Pay sucks, for a company who makes millions+ a day in sales but gives it away in compensation to undeserving customers. Core values sounds good but not implemented by mgmt.
