Pros

1. Used to send people onsite frequently (earlier) 2. Friendly atmosphere; flexible timings 3.Chance to migrate to client organisation(used to be a popular reason to join RS earlier, now scopes shrinked)

Cons

1.Only one client; if you are a developer, someone from client's side is your manager actually. He assigns work and you directly report/deliver him. The RS manager works like "Chaukidaar"(gateman). 2.No more frequent onsites like earlier. 3.Only one client and management is reluctant expand. 4.Increment is very less. 5.This company is popular among Kolkatans as there are not much IT companies to switch; so people who wants to stay in Kolkata joins this company for a hike/change. 6.Process management is worst in the industry. For example, you have to create and mail excel sheets that includes your weekly effort to HR every weeks; no automated system. 7.Opportunities are shrinking as many of it's projects are being snached by other companies.

Pros

1. The only good thing for RS is the onsite opportunity 2. Being a small company, you would know everyone by face. 3. Good learning in SQL/Mainframes/ETL for freshers. 4. Join the company as a fresher, gain experience and then leave.

Cons

1. Managers just know who is their pet. 2. All accolades are shared to only the person who are managers pet. 3. If you can show that you are very hard working (although you are not working at all), then you are sure to sign. 4. No need to work SMART and finish early. 5. The work culture is spoiled only because of the employees who started their work from their. 6. Last but not the least the Infrastructure is very very poor. 7. No specific HR policy. 8. You have to work overtime. 9. Be prepared to be compared with person who sit in office to do facebook and all other things like surfing internet but not work. 10. Managers just know that a person is working when he/she is working late.

Pros

+Good place for Freshers, just don't stay too long +Not much technical skill required for the work +Other staff are helpful +Good place to learn SQL, ETL

Cons

-Regularly have to work unpaid overtime, at night (especially if you are a lead) and on Sundays -Multiple simultaneous projects are the norm (generally 5+ at a time) -Highly political environment -Automation of repetative tasks is an not even an afterthought -Very stressful environment (depending on the project you get) -an Insane amount of meetings (at least 15 hours per week, much more for leads and managers) -No Growth Potential (not much technology work to do) -If you have technical skills, they will erode as you will not use much beyond SQL, ETL tools -Challenges are primarily business related not technical -Minuscule increases in salary -Vacation time is insufficient, and generally cannot be taken in summer (two weeks is a joke) -RS Management really only cares about billable hours, and performance reviews are based on wild guesses not facts -No 401K
