      Pros

      I knew I liked these people the first time they made someone put a dollar in the jar for calling the practice a "company." They said that companies focus on making money but medical practices focus on patient care. And everyone gets told that if you call the place a "company", you have to pony up. Its silly but it made the point that these people were serious about transforming radiology but didn't want to lose sight of why doctors like me went into medicine in the 1st place. Its fine to want to make money, we all need to, but it shouldn't be the driving focus of a medical practice. I've had lots of opportunities to go elsewhere to work but have chosen to stay with RP.

      Cons

      Any large practice loses some small town feel that you have in group of 15 docs. I miss some of that, but its the practice of medicine that has changed and I accept that to keep up we have to evolve. And the RP people do a great job of letting local decisions stay local. Ive never felt that edicts were handed from on high that we had to follow.

      Transforming Radiology - The Right Way

      Pros

      Our leadership team is forward thinking, progressive and very talented. Tremendous resources are funneled into clinical quality, clinical initiatives and physician leadership. Local practices maintain autonomy and their local identity while benefiting from the capabilities and resources made available by RP.

      Cons

      The practice is growing rapidly and trying to manage the growth is challenging.

      RP has made my practice better

      Pros

      My group joined Radiology Partners three years ago. The experience has been overwhelming positive. RP helps our group with so many non-physician related tasks (HR, legal, billing, etc) that we can now truly focus on quality and patient care. We also have more time to spend with refering doctors to help build and grow our practice. In an environment of consolidation, RP has allowed our group to gain the benefits of a larger practice without loosing our group's local identity. We are now well positioned to tackle the future challenges in radiology while maintaining the autonomy of a small physician run practice.

      Cons

      I have to attend more meetings after work.
