Great company, great culture

Pros

-Great opportunity for growth: company likes to promote from within and allows employee to try something new -Best Culture: When I walk around the building, everyone is smiling and says hi, not that much drama -Always food: there is always food being catered -Feel Valued: I always feel valued because customers love to save money! -Fast-paced environment: Time flies by every day (sometimes too fast)

Cons

-I love the fast-paced environment, but it can be overwhelming at times. -Benefits are good for employees only, when you try to add a family member it gets expensive. -More feedback on where I can improve would be appreciated. Management is usually extremely busy and have little time to sit down.

Great, until I was replaced with someone's friend?

Pros

There are some genuinely nice people there.

Cons

Well, I was there for 14 months, and went away for Christmas vacation and enjoyed some time with my family. When I returned, I learned that my boss had left the company. Another VP was acting as his replacement. I was told on Monday "not to worry" but by Friday I was called into the VP's office and informed that my services were no longer required. They gave me a 3 week severance and wished me well. Surprisingly, when I went to file an unemployment claim I learned that they reported to the State of Texas that I had been "fired with cause", which is odd since they paid me a 3 week severance, and never told me to my face or in writing that they were firing me. In fact, they had given me a $50 bonus at my 1 year anniversary. I was totally blindsided. I would not trust these guys any further than you can throw them. Take what you earn and be ready to move on, because you are disposable to them.

Careless, cheap, and need to update to modern technology stack for development.

Pros

The best thing I can say about this company is that I no longer work there.

Cons

Firstly, their code base is over a decade old. It contains numerous security holes. Management absolutely refuses to take the necessary security measures to protect customers personal data, including social security cards, credit reports, and other personally identifiable information. The salary at the company is completely out of touch with the market rate for senior developers. The benefits were horrible. I wasn't even there long enough to use them. The management team is ego centric, lack the skill and experience to lead the company into a SaaS based business model. Knowing what I know about the companies I would never use their services. Stay clear of this organization if you care about your career.

While it is true our company has been in existence for over a decade, we assure you and all customer that their personal data is completely safe and we take every precautionary measure to ensure we do not have any holes in our security. Our goal is to ensure all employees are compensated more than fairly for the position and contributions they make with the company. We constantly monitor market trends with each position and pay according to those trends. Although it is true that the cost of adding family members onto our benefit plans can be costly, we do pay 100% for the employee portion which has received extreme praise from our employees. I am not sure what part of the benefits you think are horrible, since you state you did not have a chance to use them. However, I assure you that we take our employee feedback on coverages and customer service extremely serious and will continue to monitor them. Please consider reaching out to me or the SVP. We’d love the opportunity to better understand specific experiences, be able to ask additional questions and potentially address some of your personal perceptions together. This is the kind of conversation we definitely want to have so we can garner the feedback and information that perhaps we don’t see first-hand. We need this type of information to continue to grow and transform our business while addressing the views of our employees together.
