Pros

Hired and quit in less than 2 months. Ended the pain early after seeing my paycheck dwindle to less than 200.00 per week and owing the company over $1,000 for working too many hours.

Cons

If the stress doesn't kill you, your paycheck will. Every hour you work, and there are a lot of 12 hour days, you owe this billion dollar company $$$$. They take and take and take. An hourly rate is deducted from your commissions, a crippling amount of money from customers doing long term financing is deducted from your commissions, returns from defective furniture are deducted, delivery fees from angry customers are deducted, all discounts are deducted. Working on your days off is demanded to fill in for sick or vacationing employees. The turnover is mind boggling. How sad that the owners of this company pay a one dollar bonus for selling a rug.

We value and consider all feedback we receive from our associates both past and current and like to address all associate concerns in a timely manner. We believe we provide the opportunity to our Home Furnishing Consultants to earn a very robust and competitive income at Raymour & Flanigan via our pay for performance structure. We also do value a work-life balance and are continuously evaluating to ensure we provide this balance this to our associates, which is so very important. We do realize that a commissioned sales environment can be competitive and is not for everyone.
