Pros

-Fun "Tech" kind of culture. young & ambitious group of smart people -Good group of folks to work with -Involved in interesting projects. Work feels important

Cons

-Completely dysfunctional management. The CEO is wildly ineffective and seems to enjoy drama. Hopefully the new PE firm will inject some new practices or send him packing. -No transparency on policies or their implementation. You have 0 say in how your company runs. -The HR department is the FIFA of HR departments. Absolutely horrible. In my entire tenure I never met one of them face to face. It was all webinars an a barrage of emails. Their communication was many times vague and frequently unprofessional.

Pros

Decent health insurance, remote work opportunity

Cons

If you're looking for an editorial opportunity here, look elsewhere. This is just another agency that cares about the dollar and not about its people. You'll be offered a decent paycheck, but that's where the decency ends. Expect your managers to say things so inappropriate, you'll forget to blink for an hour. Expect to work (cold reads, fact checks, etc) many weekends and what they like to call "evenings" but are actually all-nighters. Expect to hear editorial colleagues say things like, "I rescheduled my medical appointment and skipped my kid's piano recital for this--why aren't you making the same effort?" Wish I were exaggerating, but nope, it's that comical here. Like a blast from 90s Big Corp past. Just ick. You deserve a healthy work environment that respects your boundaries and time--RC's not worthy of you, I promise.

We agree with you – a healthy work environment is focused on our people, which is why our CEO likes to remind us to “take care of yourselves, your families, and Real Chemistry.” We continuously work towards a culture rooted in wellbeing—from perks that include flexible time off, remote and hybrid working, therapy + coaching sessions, annual wellness reimbursements, and more. We know that being in a client service business can be demanding, which is why we encourage people to carve out time for themselves to set the boundaries they need to stay healthy. -- Wendy Carhart, Global Communications, Culture, and Purpose Officer

Pros

Unlimited PTO though depending on your manager will be frowned upon if taken Remote work Benefits were decent and wellness stipend A lot of company paid holidays

Cons

Like all companies backed by Private Equity firms, they only care how much money they can get from the company. If they can find a way to save a dollar they’ll lay off whole departments. They’ve lost any semblance of the company they used to be. Not to mention there is no room for growth unless you’re part of the “in” circle. They do whatever they can to make everyone think the company is great asking them to leave reviews and fill out “anonymous” surveys, but don’t fall for it it’s a dumpster fire behind the curtain

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Our mission is to transform healthcare from what it is to what it should be. Having a healthy, profitable business means we can invest more into achieving that mission. And, growing our business provides opportunities for our people to take on new challenges and grow their skills. It’s this kind of mutual benefit that we believe in – and our sponsor, New Mountain Capital, does as well. --Wendy Carhart, Chief Communications, Culture, and Purpose
