Pros

Good pay compared to other agencies with similar clients. Good benefits. Client work is plentiful. Very smart junior and mid-level staff.

Cons

Senior management is absolutely toxic. No regard for boundaries and it’s a point of business here to staff everyone at 100% billable utilization, meaning the expectation is that you’re at minimum working 40 hours a week but likely a lot higher. Also, with the staffing like that, the expectation is that you bill every minute of your day to clients, which leads to a lot of unethical billing practices. Senior management will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat and completely humiliate you when they don’t know what’s going on, then all of a sudden want to be friends when it turns out the client loves your work. There is absolutely no onboarding. I highly suggest going somewhere else unless you’re okay with petty bullies.

Pros

Inflated starting salary to reel you in.

Cons

A lot. Claims to have flexible PTO until you hit a ceiling and are asked to cap your days. Toxic (micro) managers/leadership who play favorites and don’t promote/manage others that are deemed the weakest links. Poor culture. Cliquey leadership. Like high school with a bunch of middle aged adults.

Pros

Literally none anymore - the CEO harps on ‘bad’ financials each townhall and there is ZERO recognition for any junior or not senior staff member.

Cons

Wow. The biggest thing that comes to mind is lack of WLB. Not only are you expected to be online 24/7 to support any client activity and announcement etc (no matter your obligations or family status) but senior staff act like they’re too lofty to assist at all. I’m talking 10+ hour days and getting up at the crack of dawn to monitor etc. and logging off well after 7pm. But it’s really the lack of recognition that gets you in the end - I cannot wait to put in my notice after a year.
