Pros

They claim to pay above the industry average and there are a handful of smart people who work there, but the latter is true everywhere.

Cons

All the smart people end up leaving once they figure out Sr. Management isn't very talented and has no real vision or strategy. Jim, the CEO. Credit for building something out of nothing, but you are in way over your head now. Maybe the new PE firm will help, but when I left Jim was clueless and surrounded by yes men and women. These management folks would not have the same title or responsibilities anywhere else, but since they kowtow to the boss they do at W2O. The best summary of Jim, the company and their capabilities is a video you can find by Googling W2O values video. Jim thought this was self-depreciating and went to every office to play it personally in front of the whole company. In each office he said something along the lines of "I don't know how many other CEOs would do something like this." like it was something to be proud of and that is Jim to a T. As bad or worse, nobody stood up to tell him the video, the values as hashtags, the production values, etc. were all poor and shouldn't be shared internally or externally.

RUN!

Pros

Remote work environment and because of the toxic culture, the company uses inflated compensation to attract talent.

Cons

Toxic workplace with a “mean girl” or harassing management style. Untrained people managers make up the majority of the 800 people leader population and the senior team is misaligned which brings unnecessary stress to those in middle management. With a turnover of 30% you would think the company or board would expect changes to be made.

State of confusion

Pros

> Above-average pay almost makes up for poor work/life balance and confusion...almost > Interesting benefits ($500/yr for health products services / $500 for home office gear)

Cons

> What I remember most was a general state of confusion in the company overall. It was like nobody on the ground really knew what the company even did anymore or how to go about getting things done. > I was on a team with an extremely skeletal crew and since resources were swapped out every other day you had no continuity with any one team and would have to onboard new people constantly leading to many hours per week being wasted which was catastrophic on the business I worked on which had shoestring budgets. > At the time the senior & mid-level PM leadership was unable to help with much to improve anything, and when reached out to for support I was told "be my own advocate" > Lack of culture. Interpersonal relationships seemed discouraged.
