Pros

Lots of great employees who work hard and do everything in their power to make the company successful. Managers who are willing to roll up their sleeves and assist employees and other managers with tough technical issues.

Cons

A corporate mentality that seems to be "need to know" for even the most routine, trivial tasks. The most minor decisions seem to be made further up the management chain than necessary and critical decisions sometimes appear to have been made in a vacuum.

That you for your post. I agree with your comments, there are a lot of hard working people doing good things at RealPage. Your advice is spot on, there is a real sensitivity factor that must be displayed when acquiring companies. Having said that, sometimes there are duplicate roles and synergies that must be found. It is never easy in these situations. I have been a part of buying many companies and I have also been "sold" four times. So being emphatic is really important. It looks like you have moved on from RealPage, if you ever decide you want to do a return trip back, please let me know and lets explore the possibilities. x4016. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

Great co-workers! The team is awesome and gets along really well. Many employee functions around holiday times. Flexibility as far as start time. Pay is ok.

Cons

Not much support from administration or teams in California. Lots of pressure to satisfy clients but not much support. Work load is a LOT and not balanced. Some employees bust their butts and some just sit on theirs. Not fair.

Thank you for your post. This one is coming from newly acquired NWP. I will send this to Kim and Ron for their review. We need to have a balanced work load. We are also hiring some new help in Ann Arbor which should help. Your advice is spot on. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

Stable company with continued growth, good work environment, colleagues, opportunities to move within the company, and great new work facilities with cafeteria and gym.

Cons

People that have worked for the company for a long time are not paid as high as the new incoming employees. Sometimes decisions are made at executive level without considering input from management personnel who know day-to-day operations. Sometimes decisions to change are made hastily without giving time for things to work.

You made several very salient points in your post. We have an offsite on Dec 4-5th to go over standardization of jobs and functions across all RealPage. Jobs like implementations, Account Management, Customer Success, Product Support. You will see a big push for the RealPage Way in 2017. So you are spot on here. Second, the budget meetings that are going on right now is bringing several groups together to go over the 2017 plans and what resources will be needed to ensure success. Your point is specific to patience. There are several business we are in that we have shown incredible patience for without going into specifics. Everyone of them must perform or changes are necessary and I believe that is what you have been seeing across RealPage. Your final point on wage compression has merit and we address these on a regular basis. If you would like give me a call and lets review your situation against the market if that is something you would like to do. I'll buy you lunch and we can go over the data together. Thank you for your post. Kurt Twining x4016
