Pros

When company was On-Site, it was great. The Director Nicole was the best boss ever who knew how to handle all types of employees and did everything she could to keep us all happy. From the team builders to appreciation dinners to company parties, we all had a work hard play hard environment and got along pretty well. 2 of the 3 supervisors were helpful, one really being the most knowledgeable and helpful and one being the happy, sometimes helpful, bless her heart she tried, and the third always MIA and talked so much trash about everyone. Felt like family and made work enjoyable to come to.

Cons

Once employees were told On-Site were going public and being purchased by RealPage, we were sweet talked that nothing would change right away but a bunch changed. Nicole was on maternity leave, and one supervisor seemto jump ship quickly, even though it seems like they were going to be tossed anyways so new management could better control what was happening. I saw and heard the plotting of employees to get the one helpful one, the one that gave at least 4 years, as long as i was there, her time and dedication to her team and others, fired. No one seemed to notice her tired because she stayed late to try to catchup on work not getting completed, because people were dropping like flies and RealPage seemed to make it difficult for hiring. No one noticed she was the one taking the client calls who were angry that we were no longer performing like we had worked so hard before. Just seemed like her work got unnoticed and so was ours.

Thank you for your post. RealPage has spent a lot of time, money and resources to address the needs of the On-site team. The team is functioning at a high level. Much of what you are trying to point out is over a year old. We wish you well in future endeavors. Respectfully, Kurt Twining

Pros

The offices are really nice and the cafeteria is awesome! You also have some great benefits, such as an in-house gym and decent insurance. There are many wonderful people working there and the job itself was very rewarding as well.

Cons

Bad executive management in certain departments. Very difficult to advance in the company. While they "encourage" you to apply for other opportunities internally to advance your career, behind the scenes you will suffer retaliation from management if you express interest for other positions in some areas. There is a lot of turnover due to this issue. I'd heard from day one that if you want to get promoted at RealPage, you need to quit for a year, then come back and apply for the position you wanted. I was hoping this wasn't true, but saw many examples of it while I was there. For example, in my department we had people making anywhere from $45k to $110k per year, all doing the same job! This causes lots of frustration among the staff, and certainly does not encourage retention. If you take a position here, GET EVERY DETAIL OF YOUR OFFER IN WRITING! You've been warned! They make lots of promises to get you in the door, then pretend they don't remember them after you start. Also, they will be very vague about your quarterly bonuses. In the time I was there, no one could ever give me a straight answer on how our bonuses were calculated, however they were always a fraction of what I was initially told they would be.

Thank you for your post. We appreciate your Pros and Advice. Something is off in the con section. If you had a manager that "retaliated for seeking an alternative career" that would be very wrong. People change jobs every week and they are encouraged to seek out opportunities. We enjoy seeing people getting ahead. Do we have people making $45k to $110k in the same job? No, we have people at different levels within job classes performing commensurate work for the grades they are in. All employees who receive quarterly bonus on done on a grading system through their leader. That leader should be crystal clear on how this works. We do have grades and salary ranges for every position in RealPage and all jobs are benchmarked against the Radford Global Data Base. We do not hide this and will share with every employee their compensation ratio to the range. This sounds more like you may have experienced a leader who needs some coaching. What you experienced is not the norm. It should also be pointed out that turnover is down year over year. I realize that you have moved on, having said that if you are willing, I would like to learn more about your experience to make your former area better. Please give me a call. Pros

Working from Home, advancement opportunities, teamwork

Cons

The outsourcing of American jobs to foreign countries, no acknowledgement or recognition from CEO and higher ups, a blind eye is often turned. I didn't work in the office, so I cannot give pros nor cons about any of that.
