Pros

Lots of positive reinforcement and recognition from our VP.

Cons

Moderate amount of disdain from senior management. A "What have you done for me lately?" attitude. Direction, growth of company appears to be above interest in true professional growth for employees.

Pros

Large company with multiple sites throughout the US

Cons

Point of service does not work! Rehabcare wants you to document time in and out for every patient you see with digital time ie(9:03-10:56). Ver unrealistic in a SNF setting. Productivity/group bonus incentives only promote unethical billing practices.

Pros

There is excellent communication between Senior Management and facility directors. The education and training offered is second to none. I felt well liked and supported by my superiors at both the facility where I worked and the regional/corporate institution. This is the first place I have ever worked where I felt that everyone was working as a team toward the common vision. In addition to the above, this is also the first place where I felt that the HR staff was helpful in the progression of the organization. Overall, I was extremely happy with working for this corporation and would recommend it highly to others.

Cons

As a director of the facility I often felt that some of the staff acted as though they were prima donnas. Unfortunately, there is very little that can be done when you are fighting for staff along with every other rehabilitation facility. However, this will probably change over the next decade due to healthcare reform (it's only a matter of time before the government/medicare decide to cut back on rehabilitation funding) and the increasing number of therapist entering the workforce.
