Pros

Good starting pay for staff associate level

Cons

Very low PTO Accrual rate for staff and senior levels. 3 weeks total PTO per year to be used for vacation, sick time, personal. Also very limited holidays off. Only half day off on Christmas Eve and 2 hours off on New Year’s Eve.

Thank you for taking the time for time to leave this review! We want to clarify the PTO and holiday concerns that you shared. Staff and Senior associates do earn 3 weeks of PTO each year by working 2080 hours (a 40-hour work week commitment). However, we know that there are additional hours worked in our profession. We accrue more PTO for those additional hours, so Staff and Seniors actually have the potential to earn 4 weeks of PTO. Once someone is promoted to Manager or reaches their 5-year anniversary, that increases to 5 weeks. Don't forget about the holiday week that we are provided during the 4th of July week! It's wonderful to see the firm to close down and allow all associates to recharge and spend time out of the office. In addition to our stated holidays, we also provide 8 hours each year as a Diversity Day to allow associates to celebrate other important celebrations in their lives. Please let our HR team know if we can assist you in utilizing all of the time that is available to you!

Pros

The people are amazing to work with. I have made so many friendships. Benefits are great. They have a wellness program that works for me to keep me healthy and fit and motivated.

Cons

I have worked here for over 10 years. I have seen countless wonderful employees come and go. The unfortunate part of the going is that management doesn’t appear to value their best employees. They rather promote others who are less deserving and prepared because they fit into a strategic plan and are moldable for them to do what they need to accomplish this plan. This has made many employees that have dedicated their time, effort, loyalty, and commitment disposable. This eventually causes them to look for other employment where organizations value what they have to give. There’s also a Yeo & Yeo cult going on where no matter how terrible they are as employees, there is someone up above chirping in ears to push these employees upward. So basically if you’re not from Yeo & Yeo, don’t expect to get any promotions or fair raises. In the last few months, I have seen three amazing employees leave due to upper management not valuing them and it’s clear we’re hurting quite a bit due to those departures. Management also seems okay with some managers always calling in and leaving early because they do not go over the 40 hours (it’s not an obligation, but kinda par for course as manager). Many others feel bothered by this but do not feel there is an open door to voice concern. And if they do, they get shot down with excuses that we are a flexible work environment. Some take advantage of that. The pay is also not the best. If you don’t negotiate for above your target, you won’t get the compensation you deserve. This is a good starting point for your career in IT, but not the best long term.

We are happy to see that you have built strong relationships at Rehmann and found benefit programs that work for you. We are disappointed to see that other aspects of your Rehmann experience haven't been positive. You have shared some very specific employment information in this review, which makes it a bit more difficult to respond to in a public forum. Our HR Business Partners are actively involved with all Rehmann Technology Solutions (RTS) associate conversations and decisions. While the decisions may not have been what you hoped for, our HR professionals have the experience and knowledge to assist the firm in making the right decisions in accordance with our policies. Please allow them to assist you in navigating the concerns that you have. They are happy to help!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to hear that you found our environment to be a positive one with great training, mentorship and tools available to you. We know that competitive compensation is a key piece of the puzzle in attracting and retaining great talent. As such, we are fortunate to partner with Mercer, who is a leading expert in the compensation space, to assist our firm in remaining as competitive as possible. We are surprised to see you quote 1-5% raises, as our "average" last year was 5% not our "maximum" (as compared to the national average of 4%). In addition, our generous leaders also provided us with unexpected cost of living increases in the spring because they recognized the increased prices in the economy at that time.
