Pros

Huge exposure to leading SIEM and other security technologies. Tons of room for growth and promotions. You can make a huge impact from any level in the business. Work hard, play hard culture. Relaxed environment, it’s a pleasure to come to work.

Cons

Analysts and middle management are overworked. High turnover among analysts due to the high workload and burnout rate. Promotions can come every 6 months, but you have to really really work for it. Pay isn’t bad but it’s not competitive enough to keep employees after a year.

Pros

Compensation (base salary) is competitive

Cons

-The company culture RQ communicated during my interview process and on boarding is VERY different than the reality of RQ...complete bait and switch -Preach one big happy family-this could not be farther from the truth. -Lack of transparency -Lack of policy and procedures -Lack of collaboration -Lack of work/life balance -Lack of communication (when there is any, its very unprofessional) -Lack of resources -Lack of Management experience -Lack of feedback from Management -Lack of Management in general -Successes are rarely celebrated or appreciated -Most everyone is walking on egg shells around management and executive leadership -Extreme negativity from Management -Prepare to be patronized -Many of these items could be a result of growing pains (small company), which is always a risk you take when working for a startup. I quickly learned this lesson. -Management and Executive leadership does not appear to respect the thoughts or opinions of others. This results in a large corporate mindset with small company resources....far from ideal for any employee. -To sum it up, if you aren't one of the "good ol' boys, good luck

Pros

The culture at ReliaQuest is second to none. Elite people want to work with other elite people. Every single person at ReliaQuest is working just as hard to accomplish a common goal, which is to be the best brand and culture in Cyber Security. Not a single person will ever tell you "no that is not my job." Everyone is willing to go above and beyond to not only help their peers, but also deliver exceptional service to the customer. The pace is not for everyone, but if you're looking for a company with unlimited upside and growth, ReliaQuest is the place. This is not a 9-5 job, and you will likely work harder than any previous position, but those that put in the hard work are recognized and rewarded. You will never have a more rewarding place to work, and the experience you gain will be invaluable. Growing alongside an organization like RQ, and the experience that comes with it, will define your career and resume. Imagine being one of the first few hundred people at Google?

Cons

As with any company that is in hyper growth mode, processes need to be constantly re-evaluated to scale the business. Not necessary a con, just lots of change. If you're not growing, you're dying. The CEO likes to say "problems are good, they are growing pains, and we call them opportunities instead"
