Disappointing

Pros

The lower management and individual contributors are incredible people. They genuinely care for each other and want to contribute to the 'team'. Flexible / hybrid schedule is nice, and the coffee shop on campus is top notch. The people who work at 321 are such a joy and delight to have there. Decent benefits, and generous paternity/maternity leave. Flexible PTO, mental health days, and volunteer days.

Cons

Relias has just gone through the THIRD round of layoffs in the last six months. A lot of high quality and culture shaping people were in the crosshairs in this most recent RIF. It's disappointing to see so many great people being let go and NOT A SINGLE person in senior management being let go. You see it in all of the other reviews - punishing the people who are making things happen and not punishing the people who are actually making the decisions. On top of that, the pay is STILL below market - despite the propaganda being told from upper management that it's on par if not above market. They talk about DEI, but there's no representation in senior management and it feels like it's just something they're trying to check off a list to say 'look at what we're doing!'. It seems the mistakes were made with Nurse, and they went to market way too early and the people who make Relias, Relias are being let go.

A Ship Adrift in Turbulent Waters

Pros

The benefits were decent and I enjoyed working with most of my co-workers. ERGs were cool and even though I didn't get a chance to officially join any, the few events I went to were awesome.

Cons

Leadership has no clue what they are doing. They make one head-scratching decision after another. Then when the outcome isn't what they expected, instead of saying hmm perhaps we are the ones at fault they instead shift the blame to employees. Which then leads to mass layoffs. It's been nothing but a rinse and repeat on that cycle for several years now. I secretly imagine that they just throw darts at a wall to determine what "strategic" move they are going to make next. The lights may be on in C Suite, but clearly no one is home. I used to brag about Relias all the time but now not so much. You definitely aren't paid what you should be making at all for your role in this industry. And now that merit increases went bye bye, you never will. The environment has gotten beyond toxic. From gaslighting to backstabbing you name it, it is going on.Favoritism just running rampant left and right and if you aren't a leader's favorite, good luck trying to move up. Sadly there are still some diehard Kool-Aid drinkers that haven't removed their rose-colored glasses yet. I feel for them but when that inevitable day comes, cause trust me it will, they will regret not leaving the ship of their own free will before they are thrown overboard to fend for themselves in the deep waters. No longer being at Relias is the blessing I needed! It is a sinking ship.

Your Experience Will Depend Entirely On Your Management

Pros

Decent benefits. They are (slowly) working toward more competitive pay. Some of the most capable, intelligent, and kind people work for this company and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet and work with them. Flexible hybrid policy, nice office with free snacks and perks. Meaningful mission statement. Speaking from personal experience, my immediate management is amazing and I can't honestly say I would still be at this company were it not for them

Cons

Executive Leadership is an ego-driven cesspool of incompetence. They refuse to acknowledge controversial decisions with honesty and integrity and instead hide behind corporate platitudes that mean nothing. "Yes People" get promoted into management/directorial positions over and over again on zero basis beyond their ability to talk their way into it as far as I can tell. One of the core tenets of Relias, "Healthy Debate" is a sham -- god forbid you ever have an opinion that detracts from Leadership's overall vision for the company or questions their decisions in even the simplest of ways. ICs are expected to "show deference" to Leadership whether or not that respect is returned (it's not).
