Pros
1) Leadership: Managers are collaborative, transparent, and fair. Respect every individual's time, hard work, talents, and thoughts. No one thinks of themselves (or their time) as better than anyone else's. Founders still help unload the dishwasher : ) 2) Team atmosphere. We are excited to work with each other all towards the same goal of improving cities through public transportation. People are stoked to come to work and stay for wine night on Fridays 3) Social Impact: Transit has the impact to completely transform someone's life. It's their access to that job interview, or elderly home to help their parents, or day care for their children. Transit gives people access to much needed resources to live their life fully. We're helping make better transit through 180+ transit agencies all over the world. What else is different about Remix? Coming from the transportation industry that is stuck in the 70s, it's refreshing to be apart of something that does NOT say "because that's how it's always been done" when asked about change. Instead, we ask ourselves "why not?", dream big, and lead the change. That was the biggest surprise that I resonated with and fell in love with here at Remix.
Cons
Not the most competitive pay to other transportation planning/engineering jobs in the private and public sector. You'd have to feel like working at a tech start-up and other perks make up for it. Benefits are okay.
