Pros

Reonomy is extremely relaxed culture. Pretty much everyone gets along and they for the most part try to make it a fun office and environment. The product really is an excellent one and truly does help businesses. The founder is the nicest boss you'll ever have who really engages with his employees and is a great person. First fridays off every month. Unlimited PTO. Im giving it 3 stars strictly cause of a good first few months on the job.

Cons

At first this was like a dream company. Great product, laid back non micro-managing bosses and making good money. However once the pandemic hit the sales organization went from a well oiled machine to a disaster. The top level management made changes to what we were selling that none of us signed up for and over 75% of the sales team has left the company. Terrible decisions from ops department that just really made the company not as fun to work and the sales process much more difficult. Everyone went from being happy to miserable with the flip of a switch it seemed like.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review! It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the culture, product and office environment - our team puts a lot of effort into ensuring our Reonomists are engaged and comfortable to ensure we can provide a best-in-class experience for our clients. We are disheartened to hear that you felt your experience changed over time. During COVID, we made strategic decisions that have resulted in higher quality revenue and better experiences for our customers. We pride ourselves on being an innovative, nimble and agile startup which ensures we can adapt to what’s best for the market and our customers. Any shifts within the sales organization have been tied directly to our strategic themes and bettering the business for the future. We are sorry if you felt these changes didn’t benefit you directly, as large efforts were made to ensure our team understood the rationale and were supported as much as possible throughout this time. As a reminder, the HR team & Bill’s/Rich’s doors are always open to connect to hear more about your experience and feedback. We hope to hear from you soon! - Reonomy HR Team

Pros

I've been with the company for a few months now and I've been incredibly happy with my transition from my old job. There are a few pros that come to mind that I believe set Reonomy apart: -compensation and benefits are really competitive for NYC as well as a high-growth company. You often hear horror stories about smaller companies severely underpaying their staff, especially more junior employees - that is not the case here. -leadership is incredible. In light of some less-than-stellar company reviews and departures, leadership took time to address the issues and communicate the roadmap for moving forward. It's clear that the executive group knows what it's doing and where the company is going. -thorough hiring process to ensure new hires are positive and qualified additions to the team -lots of opportunities for growth. Internal promotions and role changes are highlighted and conversations about mobility within the organization are encouraged. Job leveling is clear and paths for promotions are easy to understand. -overall, very dynamic, smart, hardworking and humble group of people. There's been a lot of changes with company direction and business model in the last few years, and the employees who have seen the company through this transition are some of the grittiest and down-to-earth people I've ever worked with. -company is poised for a fantastic post-COVID boom given demand for commercial real estate data and the current marketplace

Cons

-connecting with new hires given the remote COVID environment has been a little difficult - this is no fault of the company, just an issue across the board for all companies -traditional growing pains of a high-growth company. Not quite a startup, but definitely not a super established enterprise/corporate business model. -relationship between sales teams isn't very defined (enterprise vs mid-market) - can be hard to differentiate which team is responsible for what -relatively quick ramp/training time. Most likely given the fact it's a smaller firm, so all-hands-on-deck mentality, but a couple more weeks of training would have been very helpful moving forward.

Thank you for your feedback. The management team and I read every review and try to learn from them in terms of what we should keep doing more of and what we need to change. I was disheartened to read about your experience here, and we will continue to listen and strive for excellence. Please know that my door and Bill’s door are always open, as are Rich's and Olivia's, to both current and former Reonomists. We would love to connect with you to hear how we can continue to improve in the categories you outlined. It is worth quickly noting, for the audience on Glassdoor, that we take our values very seriously and hold managers/employees accountable to those every day by weaving them into our operating priorities and various programs across the company. We are also proud of all of the internal growth our team members experience. Since April 1, 2021 we've had 30 team members (25 ICs) experience exciting promotions. Lastly, we rely on several strong and widely used compensation providers to always ensure our team is paid fairly and competitively for a small, growing company. Hope to be able to connect with you soon so we can aim to improve your experience here at Reonomy!
