Pros

Good discounts, holidays parties, and some decent humans.

Cons

Toxic high school mentality. Promotions don’t seem based on merit, unless you’re tight with the core boys’ club leadership, you’re probably staying exactly where you are. Career growth feels predetermined, and the same handful of people get promoted over and over while everyone else gets overlooked. They love to say they’re open to feedback, new ideas, and pushback, but in reality if it doesn’t come from the right people, it gets shut down immediately. Different opinions aren’t welcomed, they’re ignored. Honestly, I’ve never felt more mentally drained and beat down than I did working here. Also there's a layoff every 6 months, and constantly rehiring those positions under other titles with less money, which is a joke because work-life-balance basically doesn't exist there. They also require you in 4 days a week, while leadership doesn't even come in that often, or they're always away on trips, or don't live there.

Management Only Cares About Profit, Not Employees

Pros

Nothing that outweighs the cons

Cons

This company shows very little concern for its employees. Leadership is focused almost entirely on hitting financial goals and will cut staff without hesitation to meet targets. Employee well-being, development, and morale are not priorities. Over time, they have mismanaged every successful brand they’ve acquired, driving them into decline. Business is slower and less stable than ever, yet leadership continues to push for short-term results at the expense of employees. High turnover is expected, and the culture is one of fear rather than support. Staff are treated as expendable resources rather than valued contributors. Overall, this is a company that prioritizes profit over people. Success is measured in numbers, not in the quality or stability of the business, and the work environment reflects that.

Pros

I was hesitant to accept a role based on the other reviews. However, since I started working at Revelyst, I have had the opportunity to work with some truly amazing humans. It isn't often that you step into a role and everyone around you is invested and competent, but even after a few months of employment, I am still blown away by the level of work I see. The benefit package is decent and they offer income-based premiums for medical along with free PT apps and a few mental health programs.

Cons

Working in the outdoor industry, you expect a certain level of work life balance that just isn't at Revelyst. While most people get to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, there is no give with the tight 8-5, Monday - Friday schedule. I think better PTO and holidays would allow employees to get outside and enjoy the products they help create.
