Pros

Hours are flexible. Some of the employees care and want to make it better. Change has to come from the top.

Cons

Workloads and timing of task to be completed are not feasible. Turn over is extremely high in most departments. This makes it difficult to get ahead. Managers have to do employees job as well as his or her own. The pressure to just get it done is overwhelming.

I hope it gets better, but I doubt it....seems to be getting worse!

Pros

Good work like balance - rarely work over 40 hours a week, fflexible with schedules (but some take advantage of it), some good and talented people, and from what I've seen the new GM falls into this category, too - just hope he sticks around and can do some good for this company. Office is relocating to a better facility in Farmington Hills, so that's a start. There are some good managers....I had a great one...until he left!! Benefits are okay. They offer 401K with up to a 4% match, health and dental (just OK), FSA. They are shut down between Christmas and New Years PAID, but I wouldn't be surprised if that goes away since our parent company and all their other companies do not have it off.

Cons

People are leaving in droves. Current building is a DUMP. 2nd floor has no windows. Atmosphere is drab and very depressing! Owned by MAT Holdings as of late 2012 - READ THEIR REVIEWS TOO because it doesn't seem like we are far off from them. I see a lot of similarities between the two organizations even before they bought us. The culture is very bad here. Bad mouthing, trash talking, cattiness (both men and women), and the negativity is constant. Giant black cloud looming overhead. Morale is vrey low!! There is no training or room for personal growth/advancement. Performance evaluations are a JOKE as well! Hopefully the new guy can see through all this BS and do something about it. Turnover is INSANE. I have never been at a company where I've seen an entire department change over 3 or 4 times since I've been there. There are so many open positions, some of the staff is overworked. Takes forever for these positons to be filled. Some departments are drowning in work. Can't seem to hire the "right" person for the jobs otherwise turnover wouldn't be so high. The HR department is terrible. Their onboarding program is pretty much non-existent and leaves new hires feeling unwelcome. No one takes the new hires around and introduces them. Takes forever to get issues resolved regarding benefits (and there are plenty of mistakes being made!!) - and you better scrutinize your paycheck and benefits EVERY time to make sure it is accurate. Very poor communication, too. It's like pulling teeth to get answers from them when something goes wrong (and things go wrong a lot). When you bring up a problem, no one acts with urgency or care. There is no accountability....just finger pointing! The culture here is HORRIBLE!!!! HR does nothing to drive a positive, employee valued culture either, which starts with the HR deparment. Several uneducated professionals (I use the word loosely) in specific areas of the organization. It is evident from all the mistakes they make and laws they are breaking. Not sure how some of these "higher-ups" get promoted without degrees.

Pros

Co-workers. They're good people, knowledgeable and the only rhing that makes this place some what bearable.

Cons

Poor management outlook, lack of modernization, poor quality with no plan to fix or correct issues that have been known for years. Senior leadership lacks ethics. No future growth plan other than make stuff that's cheap. Decades behind rest of industry in product capabilities, process control, quality control and technology as a whole. if you wish to see what the auto/supplier industry was like 20 years ago...this is the place for you.
