      Great Team, Down to Earth and Happy Agency Life

      Pros

      Excellent work environment for employees. Rivers leadership encourages us to take classes, learn more, getting certified and take vacation. I have never had that before. They also pay for the classes that we want to take. Our whole team is great to work with. Everyone has been very supportive of me and the team is really smart. The morning meetings are fun. You can learn a lot listening to others talk through their work and projects. We are meeting everyday over video since the work from home orders in March. Many of us want to get back to the office soon, but the Directors want to wait for the reports get better. Rivers is a solid group of caring people. We also have top clients that I've worked on.

      Cons

      I don't like working from home. Can't learn as much as I need to from home. Hope things reopen and we go back to the office soon.

      Pros

      Awesome high profile clients and really talented thoughtful team. Many of us have worked here for five, ten, fifteen years. Our clients know that we work to over deliver with ideas and service. All of the design and dev that we do is best practices, cutting edge.

      Cons

      If you are not interested in working on creative, content, development, etc. don't apply. We work hard thinking and working for our clients.

      Rivers is a great place to learn from other developers!

      Pros

      I worked at Rivers for a year and a half. I learned a lot from the senior developers. I was able to grow my skillset in git, php, and magento 1& 2. The friday lunches were awesome except Med Deli, they always had cold vegetables. When the snacks were stocked that was a plus as well.

      Cons

      Career advancement did not really exist. Individuals would just end up with director titles without any process.  The company seems to be reactive instead of proactive, fixing issues AFTER people leave.  The equipment from initial appearance is the most up to date equipment, unfortunately you may not start with that equipment. You will get the old equipment that nobody wants anymore.  There are not any performance reviews, in my time there I didn't have any.  There isnt a dedicated HR person, so there isnt any one to voice concerns to in confidence.
