It's really a super toxic place. The toxicity starts from CEO. He is divisive and pits employees against each other to accomplish his agenda. Ironically, he thinks he is the best CEO out there and brags about his leadership every chance he gets -- whether it's in all-hands or in hallway conversations. If you want to know about this CEO's management style, you should read the book "The ride of a lifetime" by Bob Iger. This CEO is direct opposite to Bob Iger. When the CEO says people are his greatest asset, don't get carried away! He is not referring you, he refers to the people in his inner circle. They can do whatever they want, all is forgiven. I see there are so many glowing reviews in the last one year. Back in 2019, a HR recruiter raised concerns about many negative glassdoor reviews in all hands. CEO was very upset about that question and called glassdoor reviewers as "cowards". CFO got up and quoted Wall Street Journal article mentioning about companies forcing employees to write positive reviews. CEO captured that point and asked employees to write positive reviews. There was a dead drop silence among the audience! Now, I see a group of people keep posting positive reviews after any negative review is posted. If you look at review trend over last few years, you will see how obvious these fake reviews are. Career growth is limited. If your manager does not have career growth, your career growth will go in a deep black hole. That's the kind of culture carefully cultivated and encouraged by the CEO. If the CEO asks for feedback, don't give the feedback he does not want to hear. He will make your life difficult. You need to deal with retaliation afterwards.
