I wish the pay was a bit higher, but with the great benefits, it’s not a deal breaker Overall, I’m really happy to be here and excited about the future. Rocket Lawyer is a fantastic place to work!

Pros

Colleagues across the UK and international businesses and many in the US are bright and friendly and excellent to work with. I worked with a great team full of outstanding individuals and was given significant responsibility and opportunities to grow and learn - I’m genuinely grateful for this as a place to launch a career. Work-life balance and flexibility in the UK is good too.

Cons

Company wide policies set in the US and enforcement of them is disrespectful, outdated, lazy, and honestly just silly. Or possibly looking for any excuse to cut costs regardless of the effect on dedicated employees. For example, any discretionary aspects of salary structure are cynically withheld if you are leaving the company, even if you’re doing so after having completed the required work to earn these. Other policies are enforced in a blanket decision manner with no discussions as to reality/nuance even entertained. Many other colleagues have also been let go very suddenly and, to my understanding, often disrespectfully. You could argue that this is just corporate culture. If you’re willing to accept that, sure. But I feel it’s worth a warning for anyone who doesn’t know about this or see it as a default. I do not recommend working here if you’re not lucky enough to have savings or some other safety net to rely on during any sudden job hunt.
