Pros

- Smart, fun, driven people scattered across the organization - Great product - Plenty of room for improvement and innovation

Cons

Inexperienced, immature senior management has created a challenging work environment across the org: - Lack of trust between managers, their teams, and peers - Everything is always urgent, with very little structure or processes in place - No real culture or connectivity across offices or even in one office - Very little communication between management and org - we never knew how the business was actually doing - Massive layoffs (probably a third of the company) in past year due to irresponsible hiring practices and inability to plan for the future - VERY high turnover rate due to frequent firings and people quitting once they realize Ruggable is not a great place to work - Cliquey behavior everywhere - if you didn't go to a certain college or work at a certain company before Ruggable, good luck getting in the inner circle One last thing - I read many of these reviews before I started and figured, "This doesn't apply to me. I am different from these other people. I can make this work!" And boy, was I wrong. I wish I had listened to many others before joining Ruggable, and I hope you'll listen to me now.

Leadership is Out of Touch with Employees

Pros

- Lots of autonomy - The company is growing quickly so there's always a lot to do and the work is mostly interesting - Very smart people who are both your colleagues and peers - Generous compensation

Cons

- Almost non-existent benefits (no 401K or typical start-up perks) - Leadership is completely out of touch with employees; they sit on their high pedestal and fire whoever challenges their way of thinking, which creates extremely low morale of employees who are afraid to speak up - Nepotism, especially among leadership - The CEO does not value his employees or their wellbeing; his leadership is not one I would ever want to emulate - Culture is lack-luster and effortless: do better so employees actually want to work here

Avoid at all costs

Pros

The office has cold brew coffee, but that may not be around once they move to their new offices

Cons

The C-suite of executives treat people very poorly and unethically. In several cases the C-suite executives fired employees for fabricated performance reasons. Most people at the company are now terrified they will be fired too. Moral is very low, and people are generally distrustful of leadership.
