Pros

Co workers are a plus...... That's it

Cons

Pretty much everything . Corporate ties the local managements hands. Turn around rate for new local management is 6 mo. to a year. No consistency. Horrible equipment, breaks down all the time. Not willing to buy service contracts for the equipment that is constantly failing and is used to treat patients. 👎

Pros

you get to meet tons of people work with police which looks good on a resume

Cons

where do I start: you get sick time but you get penalized if you take it rules are made up over night and changed the next day management is non- existent. Pay not nearly what should be raises that are promised are not rewarded

Pros

Umm... I guess its an easy place to get hired at, does that count?

Cons

I hope this section doesn't shut down before I finish. Well I am writing this to you from the street corner in a tiny ambulance, where I have been sitting for the last 3 hours (total of 9 hrs of without access to a bathroom, place to eat, or place to even walk around and get out. It is 15 degrees outside and snowing so yeah, I'm not going to walking around in the parking lot. The ironic part of this is that I am .5mi away from the quarters that we pay money to have and have all the facilities we need. How many of you got those new GMC (Taylor Made) ambulances ... I could fit in those when I was 15yrs old and 150lbs. We have 6 managers that have somehow kept their jobs while we have gone through 5 general managers, and about a dozen supervisors, and hundreds of employees. There are multiple people with MBAs at this company, BA Business administration, and other educated people, but we manage to promote 22 yo kids with no education or work experience, who have been paramedics for a year or so. And they wonder why they cant function properly. The place is a joke, people trying to do the same things in EMS that they did 25 years ago and expecting it to work....Thank god this is just my hobby as I work for a real business that makes money and treats the employees well.
