Pros

Competitive pay, culture, career growth, profit sharing, weekends off

Cons

Your helping members with problems that are easily avoidable. Poor training...just enough to get you comfortable doing the easy stuff (essentially all you learn is the system that is used to open new accounts) but training lacks depth considering how much knowledge is needed to do the job correctly. Management feels more like a parent child relationship, but I would consider this normal in the industry. These cons are rather nit-picky, but truthful. STCU is a great place to work.

Pros

Good benefits, good pto, usually willing to work with you if you need time off for unscheduled emergencies

Cons

Fast paced, dealing with upset members, constant changes make it difficult to keep up. A bit of toxic positivity is involved as well. You have to be very driven to succeed here. Usually you have to take on extra projects without increased pay to potentially get a raise less of than a dollar per hour.

Not worth the Headache

Pros

Benefits are through Premera and are affordable. Get a one-hour lunch break.

Cons

Low-pay (not competitive) and breaks are hard to get. Training is very short and internal job aides are complicated.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the affordable health insurance and work schedule. After a comprehensive review of the current market, we increased pay early summer. We will regularly review compensation and adjust accordingly. We’re sorry to hear the five-day Member Service training class and mentoring afterwards felt too short. Our job aids which contain step-by-step instructions are very detailed. We are always looking to make improvements and are reviewing job aids. Thank you for your feedback. We will pass it along to leadership.
