Pros

Loved the department I worked with. Sad to see great people go to waste at Saber.

Cons

Grab some popcorn, this is a long one. Was with Saber for almost 8 years and there were so many red flags, but I ignored them and kept going. Always tried my hardest but never felt appreciated. Was I a perfect employee? Absolutely not, but everyday I would try making the most of my time. Fast forward to a few months ago, I was thrown into a project with no prior knowledge or experience and tried to do my best. One month in, my boss kicks me out stating “no one will ever listen to you”. Instead of working with me, training me, guiding me, or even telling the higher up management to ACTUALLY listen to me, just kicks me off the project. One week following as I am still in shock to what happened, I am forced out of my position into a new one that he promised was “good for the both of us”. He finds my replacement saying “trust me, this will work out” and here are the events that followed Week 1- training my replacement, trying to get another project finished, trying to come up with a game plan on how to step into my new role Week 2- project I was on had some complaints, things start to go bad, so I start to really focus and try to correct those mistakes Week 3- get project back on track, come up with a plan, things start to look up Week 4- go on vacation Day 1 back from vacation I’m playing catch up, going over next steps. Had a sit down with boss telling him he is setting me up for failure. To start a new position with no help/guidance and take on such a huge project, I just couldn’t do both! Day 2, he pulls me into HR stating “over the past few months he has seen little/no improvement and I should resign from my position” I knew I was on borrowed time but to give someone 4 WEEKS to fix YEARS of their mistakes was impossible! I am still in shock that this is how Saber treats people and at this point I am just a scapegoat for someone who never communicated any issues to me! I put everything I had into that project and now he gets to step in last minute, take full credit, and act like he got rid of a “problem”. I can’t wait to work for a company that doesn’t treat someone like a piece of garbage because I can do so much better than this under better management.

Pros

This is the most progressive, caring company I have ever worked for. This company invests in the highest level of technology to deliver patient care. Benefits are very good. My work environment is supportive and I am given the tools to do the very best job I can do.

Cons

Sometimes hours are a little longer because of call-offs.

Pros

Healthcare benefits and relationships with residents/families

Cons

There is no care or concern for work/family life. You are a slave to this company and you will never make them happy. The demands trickle down from corporate to internal management in a way that creates discontent among your group. The pay is not equivalent to the duties you have. As a member of management, you’re day consists of redundant meetings and away from your job. The focus is not on resident care but rather providing a care that is mediocre until a survey team enters the building. If they’d do a little digging they’d find all the skeletons!
