Pros

Associates that I get to work with are great for the most part. Scheduling has for the most part been fairly flexible. Easily able to work and go to school at the same time.

Cons

Management and corporate tend to not understand needs of associates and act without understanding implications of actions. Also, there is a distinct lack of communication between management as to what each department should be doing.

Pros

It was a decent environment to work in. Coworkers were great. There was room for improvement. I went from cashier to Membership desk in 8 months. Yearly pay raises. It was a decent amount of money for someone trying to go to college full time and support themself.

Cons

Members are very entitled. They pay a membership to shop there, so their expectations are a bit more than a general store. Management is constantly on you to sell plus memberships (the $100 membership that gives the member more "benefits" than the $45 membership). Cashiers were always understaffed. If you were scheduled to close, you were always forced to stay 30-40 minutes late.

Pros

You get a free basic membership? Not much more I can say about this company. Took 4 years of my life. It's just hole I felt like I couldn't get out of.

Cons

Management is terrible and doesn't really care for employees. Worked 2 sometimes 3 departments a day and was expected to completely close them down all the time. Had an open availability and worked 1-9:30 95% of the time. It steals your whole day. Was also kept under 35 hours to keep from getting benefits. No overtime allowed ever. 30 minutes for lunch is also not enough time to go anywhere to eat so you're stuck eating the crappy hot dogs and pizza all the time. Also under staffed most of the time. Under paid.
