Pros

The front-loaded PTO is nice, benefits are halfway decent.

Cons

Deceitful, dishonest, life is only good for upper management and executive level personnel, treats veterans like garbage, priorities are misaligned, benefits are incredibly expensive, no holiday pay, traveling executives are constantly harassing you, zero tolerance for overtime, offers no guidance to underperforming companies, no reward for good work ethic, captial punishment for poor work ethic, will delete an entire position and throw out their employees with zero severance packages or any heartfelt farewell, most employees are grossly underpaid cost of living be damned

Pros

Learn how to run a hotel on a shoe string budget and constantly "on fire." Learn how to report things 6 ways from Sunday yet still have to explain things like a child. Learn how to cut corners and survive while hopefully passing QA. Learn how to survive on your own: sink or swim. Salary is competitive.

Cons

You have to learn how to survive on some of the worst health care offerings in the industry, possibly the planet. Upper management is a revolving door leaving you to learn everything the hard way to make any progress. Senior management does little to nothing to learn who you are or what your goals are. Gifted PTO is a joke and you have to learn how to squeeze in time off or you lose it (also not paid out if you do the right thing and give 2 weeks notice....tempting you to say to heck with notice and take PTO prior to resigning.) Investor owned properties are in awful shape so you have to learn how to polish the proverbial turd daily.

Pros

There are no pros working for this company

Cons

The brand has come out with very specific requirements to help keep guests safe during the pandemic. The company refuses to provide enough staff to be able to clean all areas of the hotel the brand and CDC says we should. Many times there is only 1 person at the hotel. When I asked about getting additional equipment, supplies or staffing I was told we couldn't afford to. When I asked why we didn't just close the hotel so we could keep our staff safe and not potentially infect guests or associates I was told we couldn't because the insurance company would require us to have 2 people at the hotel at all times so it was cheaper to keep it open. Do not work for this company. I know several GMs that have said as soon as the economy opens back up and there are jobs available they are leaving the company.
