Pros

They talk about their growth which has been very fast. 30sh hotels to well over 100 in a few years. A vapor trail of problems is associated with this growth.

Cons

They simply don’t care about their people who manage and work their hotels. No 401k match, mileage reimbursement at 1990’s rate, and lip service to quality of operations. 20% of portfolio in red zones while most others struggle to stay above threshold due to lack of support. Their strategy was very clear. Don’t spend any money. Company leadership very arrogant, demeaning, and demanding. All about the owners.

Pros

The on property staff I was privileged to work with every day, location of property, onsite parking and dry cleaning.

Cons

Upper management does not train, respond to emails, or give you the courtesy of an interview when applying for a job promotion. We often received knee-jerk reaction emails that were unpleasant, unfounded and unnecessary. The overall lack of professionalism was shocking. Clearly- the executives at CHG are only interested in covering their butts and not enriching the experience of their teams. I left because EVERYONE was leaving. I was offered a better position with higher wages, better insurance, higher phone reimbursement and an executive team that is committed to seeing me succeed.

Pros

Pretty properties. Benefits are ok.

Cons

They can’t keep leaders to save their life. Look up a Schulte property and you’ll see the gm changes every other month. They’ll lie about bonuses to get you hired. They skip over internal people for interviews and hire outside after promising raises for the workload increase. You can even call HR and they won’t look into it, just assure you they care and do nothing.
