Pros

If you are someone who can dedicate yourself to an overall mission, this would be the place for you. People are generally nice here. Overall values are decent but could use work. The food is actually pretty good. It’s all sold at cost so it is fairly cheap, too. They seem to be focusing on diversity but upper management remains fairly male, fairly white, and fairly old.

Cons

Pay increases are only 3% each year. This is a poor idea to keep up with any competitors. They do not give bonuses. For some of the people they have, this is a very poor idea. Pay is sub-par — this is an issue with retention because there isn’t room to grow financially here. (Aka, you can’t start low and then grow how much you end up making.) You’ll realize you can get more elsewhere for less or equivalent work. Benefits are terrible. In some cases, it is cheaper to be uninsured. The health insurance is fairly expensive compared to what you get. They don’t have a dedicated benefits person so your insurance will most likely be delayed when starting. People don’t get fired here so many people are poor at doing their jobs. This makes getting anything done difficult. Incredibly outdated WFH policy with respect to jobs where this would be appropriate. Not saying you need to be fully remote, but not really allowing 1 or 2 days a week from home for applicable jobs is a poor mindset when competitors pay more, give bonuses, and allow this. A feasible competitive edge they could give is more flexibility here. Make sure you read a company’s policy before you believe their WFH rules. Very traditional in terms of how you must look. This makes sense in some positions. In others, management should realize this restricts who they’ll keep. The CEO is older (70+) which would not be a problem if they were still willing to keep up with technology and competition. They are not. This is bad in today’s age. Your WLB will greatly depend on your manager and position. Overall, most employees would probably find there’s a good balance but that is only because there is no payout to actually working.
