Pros

The benefits are outstanding, better than most any other company that you will work for. Generous PTO, paid in full Orca pass and money back every time you commute by bus, vanpool etc. Who would not want to work there.

Cons

A very dysfunctional HR department who always sides with the manager or supervisor. Even if you are clearly in the right and it is acknowledged (by HR) they will do nothing to support you or help you out of the negative environment. You are basically forced out of your job. I was told I just had to "deal" with it or move on.

Pros

Great mission Top-notch medical experts providing comprehensive, compassionate patient care Excellent researchers doing critical work to finding cures for childhood diseases Facility is child and family friendly

Cons

Upper management is a good ol' boys club. Many administrative management staff is non-effective and have risen to the position due to years at the company rather than talent to do the job - the barnacle effect. Opportunity for advancement and career development is lacking. Administrative management falls down on the job setting an example of "ART - Accountability Respect & Teamwork"

Pros

The doctors and mid-level providers truly care about the patients. Some locations have amazing teams and camaraderie.

Cons

The people at the very top have no idea what happens in the trenches. They promised that no "frontline staff" would be laid off, but then they laid off people who cared for patients on the frontline every day. People who took care of babies and comforted parents during the pandemic were let go without a care in the world to the people at the top. Their "robust" severance package was supposed to be a baseline of 3 months + more for every year served. Every person that I know only got four months, even though they had been there a long time. Maybe people who made more money got a longer severance, which is in line with what they do anyway. How is it that they are buying property and doing construction, yet they can't pay the people who care for patients? They should have gotten rid of people with titles that mean nothing and do nothing for patients. People who are still there have little opportunity for growth. The executive leadership clearly doesn't care about their values when considering the people working there.
