Pros

Lol pros? Yea right. I guess they didnt kill me, so thats good.

Cons

Absolutely everything. Read below First of all, if you aren't part of the Florida crew, don't even bother. You're beyond disposable to the so-called "people". If you have a grievance, their supposed open door policy leads to an empty room. I tried 18 times through all possible messages to get ANYONE in management (middle or upper) to just talk to me and was simply ignored. I still haven't even had a single return call, message, talk, absolutely nothing. This is the absolute worst company I have ever worked for. I have worked for Walmart and McDonald's in my younger days and those companies were like working for santa Claus as an elf compared to this wretched place. I can't wait for the holidays to be over so I can quit in January. As soon as the kids get their presents and new year's is over I am done. They lie to you. They backstab you. They should be put in jail some of them. NOBODY IN MANAGEMENT EVEN CARES To give you an idea of how bad this place is. When asking if we get time and a half of double pay for working Christmas, they looked at me like I just asked them to explain quantum mechanics to me. Not only do they not pay you a penny extra, they literally asked people TO WORK ON CHRISTMAS FOR FREE. They said you will technically be volunteers. ON CHRISTMAS! I wish I were making this up. It's so sad. They want sheep, not good workers. The people that seem to actually know their job and do it well are completely walked all over. I know of multiple people that were lied to about everything from pay to schedules. And they don't care. At all. It's crazy. There is zero oversight there. I wonder if the semiole tribe knows whats going on here. Do they even care? From the looks of the incompetent layout of the casino, I doubt it. It's like upper management took a day trip to red hawk and cache Creek one Tuesday afternoon and said "ok I know how to run a casino now.". They have ZERO knowledge of the Northern CA market. Just look at their Macau Baccarat table and everyone who has actually worked around here knows just what I'm talking about. But management doesn't care. They're too busy collecting checks. Heck I haven't even seen most of them in two months. Not even once. Must be nice. And the benefits? O Lord. It's half a step above Obamacare. Most expensive within a 200 mile radius at least and HORRIBLE coverage. I mean horrible. If you have a family you are better off at cache thunder graton or the hawk, no matter how much you make because you will end up spending so much more on their ridiculous health care plans. If you actually need to go to the emergency room/surgeon, prepare to file that Chapter 7. My dog has better coverage at Banfield. No lie.

Pros

Free Food. Nice Hard Rock logo!

Cons

Promotions based on "good ole' boy network. Recognition also based on "who's turn is it to get acknowledged". No holiday pay and either you work the holiday or you need to take PTO for any holiday time off. Vacation days are at company minimum standards considering other finance jobs (banks and other financial institutions) give you at least 3 weeks vacation to start + 13 federal holidays. VP's do not show their face in back of the house work areas. No follow-up or interviews for internal candidate applications. Dress code standards vary by department. Pay is not equivalent to positions outside the company (personally feel underpaid by about $25k/year).

Pros

-401k with match -Free food if you work at the bigger properties (Brighton charges their employees 50% still) -Bonuses (when you get them and if there is anything left after the bigger individuals get theirs)

Cons

-Management is shoddy from the top down -Salaries are below industry standard and that is evident as many employees live paycheck to paycheck and are losing their homes. Can't be too good if an HR employee commented on that. -Benefits are useless, even if you pay for the more expensive coverage. It used to be good back in the day, now... don't bother. -Hard workers are shoved into the ground and worked to death while problem children are left to play. -There's no respect from management - from the top down. -Employees are treated as a number. -There is no work/home life balance - again, you are a number to satisfy their needs, that is it. -Management is deplorable and does not understand how to run a company nor a singular department
