unsecure job, easy to be laid off

The company overloads you with work and keeps adding to your workload on a regular basis until you get burned out or get fired. Workload gets even worse when they do layoffs. It never ends. It's not uncommon for employees to wear multiple hats and not be compensated commensurately. Reminder to management - increased responsibility does not equal a promotion. Senior management wants to make you feel like you're important but you are just a number to them. 6% layoff in 2014 followed by an 8% layoff in 2015. What's next? They also force you to take unpaid time off, about 10 days a year, if you don't have enough vacation saved up. If you do have vacation time, then you are forced to burn it up on their schedule, not yours. If you want even a tiny bit of work-life balance, stay far, far away from this place. If you enjoy a cut-throat environment where you don't know if you'll have a job tomorrow, give this company a try....at your own risk. 1 year here will feel like 7 years. Trust me.
