Not at all ethical. Senior Lifestyle spends thousands on marketing to present the company and communities as something very different from what they really. They even tout that they are "family owned." Well, that only applies to the management company; they don't own the communities they manage, so that means nothing to prospective residents and families and there is no benefit in that to the employees. Senior Lifestyle is all about making an ever increasing profit for the property owners, investors and the owners of Senior Lifestyle, and it is done at the expense of the unsuspecting residents, families and employees worked like slaves. All that talk about culture and values is just a smoke screen. The senior living industry is a multi-million dollar business, and SLC is doing everything they can to get the largest piece of the pie. There is a reason for the constant staff turnover.

The pay is low, even if you are a Director of some kind. The upper management is terrible - how do they even get promoted? Upper management is a bunch of "yes" people, no one can make an independent opinion. If you disagree with the any decision, then you are ostracized, and they start writing you up, manufacturing complaints to get rid of you. Be aware that it is a company culture of tattle-tales, so watch who you talk to. All the executive directors I knew and interacted with lie, lie, lie. If they don't like you, then you get written up for the craziest, stupidest stuff. I wonder how many lawsuits this company has had against them? DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY.
