Pros
The people in the Thousand Oaks, CA prior to Sensata Technologies' acquisition were a multi-cultural, hard working bunch. Every person really gave 100% to make Kavlico (acquired by Sensata) the best possible place to work and was focused on achieving goals.
Cons
Essentially everything stemming from the Sensata Acquisition. This is not written from the perspective a bitter employee who was let go (I resigned) but there isn't one redeeming quality about Sensata. Their management team is petty and egotistical. They had no interest in understanding what Kavlico actually did but rather spent all their time explaining what "One Sensata" meant. Upon acquisition, they told us that historically they've done a bad job with integration. You would think that they would learn from this (seeing as how they're aware) but sadly no.....within 6 months of the take over essentially everyone I worked with has resigned. The company is toxic and just plain out of touch with the employees at the Thousand Oaks, CA location. Ego with certain managers is out of control as they seem to just enjoy listening to themselves talk rather than truly trying to understand how to integrate Kavlico into the portfolio of Sensata Products. If your position requires you to submit expenses, be prepared to deal with the most combative group of people back in Attleboro, MA. They'll refuse to reimburse you for business expenses that were properly filed if they don't like you (1 person in charge of this department).
