Pros

The people at Sentinel genuinely care about each other, and truly care about delivering quality products and service to their customers. From executives all the way down to junior engineers, everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. No one considers less glamorous tasks to be "beneath" them. Executives participate in weekly meetings covering all aspects of the business, and they are not just observing; they are actively engaged and participating.

Cons

There are standard difficulties in developing and rolling out new processes in a fast-growing company.

Excellent company culture

Pros

Sentinel has excellent company culture with leadership that has been involved since it's inception in 1982. When I originally interviewed, this was one of the things that was appealing for me. There are many individuals that have been with the company for 20 or 30+ years, which is a great indication for happy employees. This company has been great to work for and I would encourage any qualified technology or administrative professionals to explore Sentinel as a possibility as a career move.

Cons

As a sales professional there are some long hours at times in this position. However, if you want the ability to write your own paycheck with uncapped commission this could be a great fit.

Pros

This company places great value on talent and teamwork. To be still growing strong after 32+ years is a testament to the values and culture at Sentinel.

Cons

The company has so many capabilities that it can be a bit overwhelming for new employees. Once new team members get through those first several months, they see the value - the diversified portfolio of capabilities and markets served provides opportunity.
