      Growing Company - Lack Of Understanding

      Pros

      The company is growing at a rapid rate. Compensation is average. They are pretty open to being on par with the average so very few employees felt like they were getting underpaid. I do think Sentinel will be a successful company.

      Cons

      The company doesn't have a proper understanding of fulfilling customers needs which made my job a lot harder. I felt like the management team did not adequately give me the tools to be set up for success. In often times I felt like I was left on an island. The reason for this is the company is growing at a rapid pace which is great for long term I just would never work here again.

      Stable and safe; but missing opportunities to kick things up a notch.

      Pros

      Most of the people are friendly. Reasonable work life balance. Friendly to telecommuters. If you’re willing to just suck it up and get stuck in a repetitive cycle, you can probably stay here a long time. Stable.

      Cons

      Some of the team leads are overvalued and don’t have the skills people think they do, they’re eternal optimists who like to wing it, and are rewarded for it. Mentally stuck in the past and disinterested in improving existing practices, they’d rather you tow the line instead of embracing those with visions for a better way. Some people with real leadership skills are being held back and not allowed to move up the food chain.

      Great place to work!

      Pros

      Working at Sentinel has been an extremely rewarding experience. They know how to treat their employees right. The benefits are great, management does a good job with transparency (which is not an easy feat), and it’s exciting to be a part of a company that is “always leading” in technology. It’s a total pleasure being able to learn from my coworkers, as well as being able to use my skills to contribute to the company’s vision and goals. I would recommend Sentinel to any candidate.

      There are cons for every company, but I have had a really positive experience.
