Pros

Sentinel is on pretty much every list of great places to work - and in the top classification in most. There is a good reason for this. The environment is challenging, it can be highly rewarding to those that are willing to give it a go. Even so, work/life balance is something they strive to provide - but no one at Sentinel is a mind reader, so if you do not communicate any imbalances, well... enough said. The are trying - and succeeding to grow the company and ensure everyone at Sentinel is protected through the pandemic, and that deserves true accolades and shows the family atmosphere that makes up the organization. Ultimately, this is a company that allows you a lot of freedom to perform and grow; you will get out of it what you invest in it. Training is provided through subscriptions with INE, courses, and certification exam offerings as well. All companies have issues, and Sentinel has historically had issues with regional and cross departmental communication and team building. Recently there has been an embrace of WHF and no longer requiring centralization of certain roles that has forced greater collaboration so this is better. This along with the hiring of the Employee Experience Manager has helped turn this around. Another little bit and I think things will be as close to perfect as they can be.

Cons

As other reviewers have said, there are a lot of legacy processes and systems in place. I can't disagree, and while it will take a while to root out all the legacy, Sentinel has made leaps and bounds with large investments in new technologies and systems to grow for the future. Currently a negative in many ways, this is getting better all the time.

Pros

Great compensation plan and benefits

Cons

micro managed the team, processes are not automated, to many steps to finalize a deal and not outside of the box thinking. Not a very clear WHY.
