Pros

Technology HR Staff good at working to increase employee morale Decent Salary Good Benefits

Cons

The integrity of this company is very questionable. The lie to their customers about what they can provide them, which then leaves them scrambling trying to find the resources to do so. They also lie to their employees about what they expect from them, but when they oversell their abilities to their customers they expect the employees to act like they know what their doing. That was very hard for me because integrity is really important to me. I was really disappointed when realizing this low integrity because I had really wanted to work for this company for a very long time.

Integrity is very important to our culture here at Sentinel. We play a very important role in the operations of our client’s business, without integrity, we would not be able to hold the role of trusted advisor across industries, states and organizations. In addition, our reputation and strong commitment to excellence has allowed us to enjoy top partnerships with the biggest names in technology. Without our partnerships, without our clients, without a strong culture that attracts top talent, we would not have been able to recognize the success we have over the past few decades, all of this falls back on a strong reputation that includes a high degree of integrity. We appreciate the key benefits you highlighted in the “Pros” section. Those are important, and it’s great to hear they were fitting for the position.

Pros

Opportunity to grow your technical skills.

Cons

Opportunity to grow your technical skills, by working all the time. Limited training (if at all), no raises (ever), they did put in a bonus system by which you are still under paid for the time you put in (even on an hourly basis). No growth opportunities. Management has been in place for over 20+ years, which means no new ideas are welcomed or implemented. The company is driven by money only, which is not to say a horrible thing. But, that does come at a cost to the employees and customers.

We’re disappointed your experience on our team differs from the experiences of the majority of our employees. The cornerstone of our success is technology. We partner with industry leaders, and pride ourselves on having the best technical team available to utilize their innovations to create the best solutions for our clients. We are very mindful of the needs of these teams, in order to ensure we can continue deliver high quality service and support to our clients. One of the constants at Sentinel for the past 35 years is a culture of open communication. We take the feedback of team members very seriously, and encourage them to share ideas and improvements. As we grow and expand their feedback, as well as input from forums such as Glassdoor, help us tremendously.
