Pros

-you'll learn A LOT and have almost unlimited resources to increase your knowledge -competitive pay, good benefits -mission, values, and culture are great. Makes you proud to work for them. -always new opportunities to get more involved -CEO and leadership are great and always trying to improve the culture -your team will make the experience. Fellow pharmacists are always super nice and helpful. -unique projects and learning experiences compared to the "typical" pharmacist job

Cons

-growing pains -- sometimes transitions can be very rough and you feel like you're being thrown into the fire. Team is all very supportive but can be frustrating at times with lack of answers or guidance. -no OT pay although expectation is often to work OT -with transitions or increase in job responsibilities, there should be adjusted goals, additional team support, or increased compensation

Pros

-Weeks of PTO from hire -Great Benefits (Insurance is crazy cheap and better than previous jobs that cost 5x as much) 401k matches 6% -Chance to move up and/or transfer (They have contracts with hospitals across the country, so you can transfer within the company instead of being bound to one area. They also almost always promote within the company, whereas I've worked for so many places that hire managers outside the company and leave their loyal employees hanging) -Progressive work environment. This is the kind of company you can explain mental health to without it being taboo. They also have resources they can direct you to within the company like therapy. -Work alone (May be a con for some, but I love it!) I've seen this in a lot of reviews here, people complaining of not having any guidance. You don't need guidance, you go by your work within the hospital's EMR. I enjoy not having a manager micro manage me or having to ask for permission on everything. It is incredibly peaceful and makes you feel like your own boss. Even on slow days, be creative on how to stay busy (Catch up on emails, organize files, scan things in to EMR, etcetc)

Cons

-No grace training period. There was supposed to be a week of shadow training, but I was thrown into the role. Granted, that was likely my manager being overwhelmed as I've heard that didn't happen to people in other areas. -At the hospital's mercy (Because you're a contractor, it can get complicated if someone were to complain about you, as it's technically two different companies and not one. So workplace harassment may be harder as you would have to inform YOUR boss who has to then inform THEIR boss.)
