Forward thinking company with good CEO

Cons

Directors and Senior Managers do not see employees as a resource, rather as replaceable. Lower salaries due to thought that people are privileged to work for them in the Boise, ID area. Does not promote managers who have management skills while promoting people decent at their jobs and not giving them the leadership training they need.

Simplot Technology has opportunities to affect its businesses at a global scale, where business groups can push their individual missions, as well as the overall mission to bringing Earth's resources to life. As an individual contributor if you're willing to shift your role and fill in where someone is needed, you'll always have an opportunity to learn something new. Supporting operations internationally can give you a very diverse and rewarding experience. Managers and directors have opportunities to lead teams as they see fit within a private company that is looking at the long term goal.

Cons

Communication from different functions don’t travel efficiently. There are different levels of understanding to what the mission is.
