Pros

Flexi-time / Output oriented, Travel opportunities, Relaxed Environment, Performance Bonuses, Profit Sharing, Company-sponsored Staff Development / Trainings, pampered employees

Cons

No established standard operating procedures for a Quality Management System. Some employees are unprofessional esp. in my department. Reports and/or documentation are sometimes required within 24 hours. They need to diversify with their products.

Pros

This company is involved in extremely complex projects. And they are hard workers. I have been with them for several years, since it was a small operation. They are now in many different countries and the company has grown significantly. Very interesting projects. I have met here some of the brighest people I've met in my life. It's a young company. Most of management is under 40. Pay is good, above market. And they have some incentives like a year bonus (sometimes up to 30% of your yearly pay, depending on your ). In some offices they have free massage for employees, also yoga classes, not to mention free cappuccinos. It's a really cool environment. Because of the type of business, ethics is very stressed, and you are expected to comply with very strict business ethics rules.

Cons

The going is very, very tough. The business they are involved in is not for the faint of heart. I have seen very bright people who couldn't cope with it and had to leave (or couldn't deliver and were fired). Projects are complex and employees are expected to work against objectives and customer deliverables. If you want a 9-to-5 job this is definitely not a company you should work for. You are expected to travel a lot (in any customer-facing position), and you will not be given several weeks' notice to prepare for travel. It hasn't been uncommon for my boss to tell me "we need you tomorrow in Nepal (or Brazil or England or Mexico) tomorrow for a week".
