Pros

The employees are very good people. Most of them are eager to help you with anything you might need. Great place to get experience.

Cons

Departments are pitted against each other and they are always looking at who they can point the finger at. The owners and upper managers will not accept fault for the issues in manufacturing, engineering and customer service.

Pros

Some travel , other than that nothing, make you stay in cheap ghetto hotels where there are bullet holes and blood (no joke Mesa AZ.) they won’t ever pay the promised per diem and when you go to HR they won’t do anything what a joke. Not work 50k a year for 90 hours a week

Cons

They are currently under investigation with the federal department of labor, for classifying employees that should be non-exempt to, exempt meaning they will not pay you for overtime and try to work the living heck out of you. No communication at all, poor training and no money I would stay far away from here as possible.

Pros

Did have a good name in the industry as they were known for good engineered solutions and quality products.

Cons

Common daily scenario: receive order, send submittals 4 weeks late, acknowledge order but don't agree on T&C until after product has shipped, tell customer product will be 4 -8 weeks late, then as the revised (late) ship date gets close push it back week after week after week after week, ship product, product shows up wrong and doesn't work, ship replacement parts to fix that take the customer several hours to fix, when they try to get reimbursed for expenses tell them we don't cover labor warranty. S&L is losing customers that will never come back. Most of their rep force hates selling their products because of the headache.
