Pros

Pros: Generally speaking, larger firms offer higher starting salaries and more extensive perks and benefits, such as better health insurance plans or childcare options. Lateral movement is also more of a possibility at bigger companies. If at some point you’re looking to transfer to another department — or even to another city or country — a larger company will be more likely to have something suitable for you. Moreover, if you want access to the most current accounting software, a big firm is likely to have it.

Cons

Cons: It’s easier to get lost in the shuffle. You may also have to get approval from several levels of management before implementing new processes. Additionally, when it comes time for promotions, more coworkers will be competing with you to move up.

Pros

I have a great director that I work for who values me as an employee and asks for my opinion on major projects and really strives for me to grow.

Cons

We are staff who are severely unsupported by corporate. They only look at money and not its employees or patients. They say our patients come first but that is far from the truth. We are severely short staffed we are always asked to work more than 50 hours a week with instruments that are always breaking. The company gave us an instrument that they had purchased off eBay because they didn't care how accurate the results would be and that we had to figure out how to make it work. You will be lucky to get more than a 2.5% raise during your annual review even though this company made close to 8 billion dollars last year. Like Jerry the CEO stated " Our employees we treat them like family and you are one of our top priorities next to patients" If this was true you would think the company would actually invest money back into its employees and on the instruments they work on. My Advice to anyone looking for a job look far away from any Sonic affiliated labs you will for sure find something better!
