Company has potential, but held back quick growth and poor management

Pros

Great base benefit package and attempt at creating a positive culture. Holiday schedule is nice and PTO is generous.

Cons

Upper Management too much of a clique. Salary formula is incorrect. It seems like they take a peer average and put that as a ceiling for a position that you can only attain if you get perfect reviews (which are not possible) and after multiple years of service.

Pros

the minimal free banking services. health benefits. 401k plan. exposure to programs that are used throughout financial institutions.

Cons

The frontline staff are not trained properly which causes insanity for those who don't work in a branch. Everything is disorganized and everyone points the finger instead of resolving problems as they occur. Staff is not compensated fairly and fighting for a raise will only raise the eyebrows of the executives who will immediately turn you down. The employee turnover rate is very high and they seem to keep the people who are awful at their jobs. If you have 5 fingers on each hand for cash counting purposes, you're probably hired.

Pros

Annual bonuses at the end of the year

Cons

Don’t like to promote from within, unless it’s a candidate that will make the company appear more diverse. Don't like to give more than 2 % raises each year. Say they care about employees but only care if it’s within their best interest. Will gaslight employees into signing separation agreements/ nda contracts when leaving so they can’t get sued for the shady stuff they are doing behind the scenes. Say they care about mental health, but do nothing to help the workers who need resources for it.

We are disappointed to read about your experience. As an employer, we encourage all employees to seek opportunities from within the organization for career growth and have an extensive compensation program. In addition to compensation and benefits, the health and wellness of our employees is and will remain a top priority at Sound. Included in our benefits package is the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) which provides our employees and their immediate family members access to counseling services 24/7. Sound also recently implemented a Work Life Balance (WLB) program to provide employees flexibility with work life balance and overall well-being. Your feedback is valuable to us and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We want to have a better understanding of how we can improve as an employer. Our HR team would encourage you to reach out to your manager or set up an appointment with them to discuss your concerns.
