Pros

Coworkers are great Flexible with hours when needed

Cons

Management is horrible. They claim to care about the employees, but they do not. They care about their checks and the employees be damned. Promotions are based on who you know not what you know.

We appreciate your feedback. It is definitely not the experience or perspective we want our team members to have. The Westlake region has undergone more than its fair share of change, and we acknowledge the impact this has had on trust and morale. And while we do believe in promoting from within, we make sure those folks bring the right blend of what we're looking for. To that end, your comments about our licensing and credentialing leadership raises concerns. Obviously, a review is one way to communicate with us. Still, we invite you to reach out directly to us at belong@soundphysicians.com, as we'd like the opportunity to better understand and take action, if appropriate. — The Sound team

Pros

I enjoyed working with some supportive coworkers and I appreciated the remote aspect of the job.

Cons

I can’t begin to express how much changed during my time at Sound. I had a new manager every year I was there and expectations for the role changed along with each manager. As other reviews have mentioned, the executive team also changed. They love to say that Jeff is helping the company financially and while that may be true, it didn’t reflect in bonuses or salary and I didn’t notice any real positive changes in our day to day. Additionally, workflows and even entire brand identities changed with the seasons, which made sense given the constant staff turnover. I wish my time here had been more pleasant.

Thanks for your thoughtful review. Indeed, there's been change across the organization as we work to become an even better medical group, both nationally and at the local level. We've weathered our share of change in marketing, too, as we're building a team best able to meet our organization's needs. It's my goal to ensure our team feels supported and engaged, even through ongoing change, and I encourage our people to share openly on how we can do and be better. I'm grateful for the time you spent with us and appreciate your contributions – including your feedback here. — Anni Lange, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communication

Pros

Looks good on the surface.

Cons

Very poor communication among different departments and sites. Payroll routinely incorrect, tens of thousands of dollars missed routinely at a single site monthly. They have removed benefits, downsized the company, continue to hemorrhage money from payroll area. Poor follow up re: concerns, poor communication across the company. Unable to determine who to contact where to get needed things accomplished for employment. Benefits are expensive. Lack of changes to employee concerns. Leadership more concerned about site c-suite satisfaction than employee retention, so revolving door.
