Pros

As a company, Sound really cares about its employees. They pay good wages and provide clear paths for growth.

Cons

There is a persistent culture of feast or famine. If you are doing well your are praises and if you make a mistake you let go pretty quickly.

Pros

No matter what your role is they make sure you feel valued as an employee. They have profit sharing based on your contribution and work ethic. If the company does well you can expect a yearly raise. Upper management works with everyone from top to bottom so you know your voice is heard.

Cons

Many of the roles here will require travel. If you have a family it can be difficult to be away from family a lot.

Best place I've worked so far...

Pros

Flexible work schedule, decent benefits such as vacation, holidays, paid parking, facilities, and events. I am fortunate to work with a great team, and feel like over all the culture is pretty good within the main central office. They have grown rapidly in the last several years and it appears they will continue to grow. They have a great vision and mission but with all things it will take time to perfect and reach certain goals. Always encourages internal movement, if you don't like the position you are currently in and want to apply for something else internally they fully support it. Overall I enjoy it here, and so far is the best place I've worked ever. I mean that, no workplace is perfect so this is as close to it for me as I have experienced.

Cons

Keep in mind I'm at the central office level so this doesn't necessarily apply to anyone working in the hospitals. Pay is not competitive, my Director doesn't seem to do much, it always seems that his work is pawned off to each of us on our team. He asks for suggestions but doesn't listen to us, and takes credit for our work. Health benefits actually aren't that great considering it's a healthcare organization, and there aren't very good processes in place. More often than not people do their own thing, make their own processes and it's confusing/causes problems. My director also says inappropriate things, embarrasses you in front of other colleagues, and constantly makes remarks about things he doesn't like about you/your personality like a little child. The organization is going through growing pains, however they are acknowledging what they need to improve and taking steps to do so. There are some people in HR that have no real prior HR experience and lack the necessary knowledge and professionalism to do their jobs.
