Pros

Great mission, staff want to provide better transit

Cons

Planning culture of long-time leadership with overwhelming fear of taking chances, or giving staff freedom to decide anything that matters; fear of doing something differently, trying new ways of planning and project delivery, upsetting any board members. This prevents leadership from allowing staff to thrive.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for mentioning staff's commitment to our mission. It is an exciting place to work. The Agency continues to invite employee input to identify and address issues including decision-making clarity and process improvement.

Pros

individual contributors do care about their work despite roadblocks

Cons

It's been months and IT is still a disaster. Sr. Mgmt is in denial about morale being at an all time low. Questions about the re-org were put off as "snarky" and ignored. IT leadership seems to be padding their own and friends resumes with Director and Deputy Director titles at the expense of people who do actual work. Now we learn that we are going to use more contractors instead of FTEs going forward. HR was in on the decision making as well as the announcement and lack of follow through so there is little recourse.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. Following the reorganization, we are listening closely to feedback. It is true that we are augmenting resources with contractors as needed - but, that doesn't mean we are limiting movement within our organization. The reorganization was intended to provide better role clarity and job tiers to have a scalable leadership structure where people can move within their grade and title.
