Pros

Make money on credit card applications, amazing health insurance for next to nothing.

Cons

The company will not pay you correctly for the hours you work and the amount of credit cards you send in, you will not see payment for all you do for this company, no respect for their employees. I kept detailed records and each month came up short. When you leave they will not pay you fairly for the hours you fly and the trips you take or the credit cards you sold while working for this airline. Very nice to you when you work for them, but once you leave they will not take calls or return emails if it involves paying you. The union reps are also corrupt, management in flight sucks, they have no back bone and would run their mothers over with a mack truck if their manager told them to in order to save their job. The base management are like jelly fish, they act like your friend, but they do not have your back. So many other airlines to work for. Oh yes and the planes are so dirty, never cleaned properly, you have to clean the planes some of the times to avoid the disgrace of having to work in the shabby conditions. But the smell from the uncleaned bathrooms is disgusting, and so dirty.

Fun company to work for

Pros

Easy going company and can be fun to work for, Small enough to feel like family, good and affordable medical benefits (Dental is free if you elect medical), 401K match but not a whole lot, Flight benefits are pretty good except we do not have any international flight benefits with any of the big North American carriers (Delta, American, United) we do have a lot of large international carriers (KLM, Quantas, TAM, Aeromexico, Azul) Good work life balance [For me at least] Time and half pay for hours over 85, 72 hour monthly guarantee, very flexible schedules once you get enough seniority took me about a year or so. we have multiple bases to choose from FLL, DFW, ACY, DTW, LAS, ORD. Growing fast to you building seniority pretty quick.

Cons

Lack of communication between Corporate and employees in every aspect sometimes it seems like we find out way after things happen even after the news reports come out of changes or new routes and etc. Scheduling system is not automated which could be better with all of the current technology so we are not able to trade trips with flight attendants and do things on our own without having to Fax a form to scheduling and then it doesn't even get processed in time. Our union contract expired in 2007 and we have been trying to get a new one for years now. This could be a con for some but we have very minimal international layovers (LIM) and not very often for those who are not FLL based.

Pros

Nothing, if your looking at working with Spirit, turn and run away fast!

Cons

Worked at the "corporate" office for over a year and thought it would get better but each day provides unbelievable incompetence of management. I'm still working here but have started looking to get out of this place. An upgrade of the facility will mean nothing given the same managers. It's a shame since I really wanted to stay but they don't rate dead last in the world for a commercial airline for nothing. Employees are actually treated much worst them their customers!
