Management doesn't seem to care much about its employees. Mid Level Managers are too busy managing up and don't seem to strategize together and walk through opportunities that ultimately help the clients.
The overall culture at Spotify is great (beyond the sales org). Spotify also offers some of the best benefits in the industry (health coverage, paid parental leave, 401(k), equity). Daniel Ek is a fair leader and seems to truly care about both the business and his employees.
Cons
The culture within the sale org is negative. Everyone is out for themselves and that means throwing people under the bus or undercutting other employees. Senior leadership seems tone deaf. Sales goals are wildly unrealistic so many sellers are not making their package. Product offering is lackluster.
Smart and hard working people at mid seniority level, with a relatively good day-to-day working environment - great office perks
Cons
Abysmal management - too junior and no experience. The company constantly makes rash decisions which confuses clients. Perception of the offering from their clients perspective is poor, and the company sadly rides off it being 'the best place to work' when it is far from this
