Pros

- Flexible workplace environment, remote with the option to work in an office if you live by one - Everyone is friendly and a pleasure to talk to - Unlimited PTO

Cons

Things were great for a while, but things took a turn for the worst. The company has been going through growing pains for a while now after a huge boom during the pandemic and it seems we are at a melting point. It's been over a year of being hopeful and it's clear that nobody knows what they are doing. There truly is no sense of direction, so people are all scrambling to feel like they are important, but everyone is on different wavelengths so it is absolute cacophony. This chaos cascades down to our sellers, who are given sloppy guidance and pulled in multiple directions. This new crop of leadership feels so distant and foreign, which is not at all what it was like prior to 2024. They love to sugarcoat things and pretend like everything is okay, meanwhile people have been leaving in mass, including those in upper management. They lie and tell us that "they hear our feedback" and then give us "exciting news" that nobody asked for while ignoring the real issues like low pay, lack of career growth opportunities, and unrealistic workloads. There is no way to voice how we feel which is why I have turned to Glassdoor in hopes to be seen and also warn others of the reality of the business right now.

Pros

Good snacks in the office, fun events and people

Cons

Unrealistic goals, no pro rated goals when taking PTO (taking vacation days directly hurts you. They will tell you some BS story about how promotions are based on a rolling average so taking PTO does'nt hurt you but thats obviously nonsense). they do not hire from within at all. they will point to the same 3 people who "climbed" their way up and talk about how they promote from with in but its simply not true. when a new position opens up more senior to yours it will be immediately filled by an outside hire. Below market pay for the position

Pros

* Good benefits * Nice coworkers * Cool / comfortable office in a decent location * Feels good to leave

Cons

I'll focus directly on Data at Sprout. The current senior leadership in the Data Foundation and AI areas of the company have consistently demonstrated that they are not prepared to lead in the capacity that their roles have granted them. A few examples: * Critical personnel exits (layoffs and PIPs) with zero contingency planning, resulting in complete failure of business-critical reports and systems. * A baffling reorganization that placed Business Analysts under Data Science leadership, confusing career paths, creating role ambiguity, and undermining the value of both disciplines. * Nepotistic hiring practices, including multiple instances of friends being hired into management roles, reportedly without passing standard interviews. * Tone-deaf communications, including all-hands where leadership self-congratulates while essentially everyone is seeking employment elsewhere * Skip-level meetings where leadership demonstrates no understanding of your function, team structure, or deliverables etc. The organizational toll has been significant: I’ve never worked in a company where so many people in a single org have taken mental health leaves or extended PTO due to burnout or stress. Sprout's value to customers hinges on the strength of its data. I genuinely do not know how the board or executive team can see the mass exodus occurring in the data space and not immediately do something about it. My feelings on this place could be worded so much more strongly, but of course, Glassdoor has rules...
